Rain Suits Rain Mittens Winter Gear and tips

What to expect at class

What to expect at class

Class varies from week to week.  Please note that the class is a natural area, with mud, dirt, straw, sand, and other natural materials. Depending on the weather, the ground may be wet.  Some classes have paint or other messy materials. Always know that there is potential to get messy!

Dress for the weather

What to expect at class

What to expect at class

Everyone attending class must be properly dressed.  Make sure to look at the Real Feel temperature each morning before class. We always recommend dressing in layers, as it's easy to take off as you become warm.  Play clothes or clothing you don't mind getting messy is best.

Rainy Days

What to expect at class

Rainy Days

Everyone attending class must have appropriate rain gear.  We highly recommend rain suits and rain mittens for children.  Everyone should have rain boots. You can find links to the gear above.

Layers, layers layers! Make sure that fingers and toes are kept warm, too. This means wool socks and lined mittens or gloves. Everyone attending class should wear insulated boots once the temperatures drop. Snow gear is necessary for snowy days. Check out our cold-weather guide above for gear tips.

Warm days

Warm days

During the warm weather, we often have water play in class. This means children should wear shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting messy. Some families will bring a change of clothing so their child can ride home dry.  Water play will be indicated in the pre-class emails, so you know what to expect.
